Star Wars at The Senator
Timothy B. Milligan invited me to join him at a one-night-only, free showing of the original print of Star Wars (retroactively titled "A New Hope"). Not only was this one of the best movies ever, but this was definitely the very best movie-viewing experience I've ever had. Such a great crowd - and free beer!
I attempted to use my fancy new camera to get some shots of some of the iconic moments from the film.
additional disclaimer: the videos are terrible, partly because the camera shoots at 30fps (not synced with the 24 of the film and hence full of flicker), partly because it was a new camera and I barely knew what I was doing with it, and partly because the card was too slow to record more than about 50 seconds at a time, meaning that unless I remembered the exact sequence of events leading up to a particular part that I wanted to record, I was doomed to start either too late or too early to capture the moment itself.
